BACKSTAGE GUIDELINES

To make sure keep our dancers safe and our venue clean, please review our backstage guidelines listed below!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION IN THE PARENT PORTAL IS UP TO DATE.

We utilize this number incase of any backstage emergencies or if we need to get a hold of you during the run of the show.

DANCERS PLEASE ARRIVE BY 6PM!

- Dancers should be dropped off in the Commons of Blesch Auditorium. This is our "green room" for any dancers waiting to perform. Enter in the 11th Ave Entrance of the school, or through the Blesch Lobby and down the hallway. Please no men and only one adult with each dancer please.

- Only one family member per dancer is allowed backstage for drop off & pick up.  Backstage can get chaotic quickly, and we like to ensure a relaxing and calm backstage environment.

-Men are not allowed backstage at anytime (with the exception of those in the cast and stage crew.) We will have designated changing areas for our dancers can change efficiently and safely.

- Please initial EVERYTHING. Costumes, shoes, etc.  Every year we come home with a box full of things that we don't know who they belong to.  We always want to make sure you get anything you may have left behind.

- Avoid bringing tablets, laptops or expensive/cherished toys. We have activities and volunteers backstage that will keep kiddos occupied while the show is running. If you do bring anything, please initial it incase it's lost.  We are not responsible or liable for lost or stolen personal items.

- Our backstage staff are kind volunteers that sometimes sacrifice watching their own children from the audience. We ask that all families and dancers respect them and follow their instruction. They are there to ensure that backstage stays calm, safe and running smoothly. At any point in time your dancer is not following instruction and being overly disruptive, we will contact you and a female family member/guardian will have to sit backstage with the dancer. If we cannot contact you via the number in the system, we will send staff to find you in your seat.

- There is no food or beverages allowed backstage, aside from water bottles. Absolutely no eating in your costumes!

- After show, families can pick up dancers in the commons.  You're welcome to join us back on stage for photos with dance friends and faculty members!

- Please clean up your area as you leave, and leave it better than you found it. We try to leave this borrowed space so that we leave no trace. Should you need anything to clean up (Paper towel, clorox wipes, garbage bags, etc.) contact a backstage staff member and they can help you.
